The simplest forms of meditation involve bringing one’s attention to the sensations of the body, or to sensation of the breath. As one continues to gently sustain this awareness, the intrusion of distracting thoughts or sounds will displace one’s attention from the chosen focus. In a moment of awareness, this displacement will be noticed, and the attention can be gently returned to the sensation of the body or breath. This is the Cycle of Meditation. When practiced with regularity it can start to reveal the body’s hidden tensions, subconscious emotional issues, and habitual patterns of thought.
In exposing these aspects of ourselves to the light of our awareness, we may cultivate a greater level of relaxation within the body, a deeper understanding of our habitual emotional responses to the world, and we can reveal within us the natural clarity of the mind. All of these things allow us to be more stable, centred, relaxed, and perceptive in our day-to-day lives.
The classes are open to everyone, and beginners are always welcome. There is no start and end to the course, you can join at any time, and you will find that your experience deepens as you continue to come.
Classes are run approximately once every three weeks, on Fridays from 7-8.30pm.

Buddha Palm Qigong Meditation
This profound and yet relatively simple Qigong Practice develops and refines inner Qi strength.
From a seated position, with a calm and focused mind, we will activate, strengthen and harmonise the body’s energy centres.
Through gentle rocking, twining of hands, and energy massage, we will enhance and enliven our inner life force
and self-healing mechanisms.
Via the principles of interconnectedness, which are the basis of Qigong Practice, we may dedicate the best of who we are to the world around us,
and to our loved ones, family and friends.
This practice is ideal for anyone wishing to heal, and replenish Qi reserves.Through centring, calming, with the development of compassion and with
full body awareness, we may be fully present to ourselves, and to others. All are welcome, both newcomers and those already practising!
