INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLING

Glenda started her counselling career over twenty five years ago. In an extremely varied career, she has developed roles as a psychotherapist, trainer, clinical supervisor and consultant.

Glenda originally developed specialist work in the areas of sexual abuse and substance misuse from which she became particularly interested in working with trauma of all types. She spent a number of years giving talks on abuse, training substance workers nationwide, teaching and supervising at the University of Derby and being a visiting lecturer and supervisor on other courses.

Glenda started offering private therapy and supervision in the early 90’s. However, throughout her career, she has maintained an active involvement in the voluntary and charitable sectors. She made the transition to self employed status in 2000. This means that she now works with a broad range of difficulties, seeing private clients and, in a freelance capacity, clients from Employee Assistance Programmes and other sources. She also offers clinical supervision to a broad range of therapists and, when time permits, devises and delivers a programme of therapy related workshops.

Glenda works from an integrative perspective, aiming to adapt her work to the individual needs of each client or supervisee.
