About Bec Haynes - Counsellor

Counselling, couples and individual

I work with couples, individuals, and women navigating menopause and midlife transitions.

Menopause can bring emotional shifts, identity changes, relationship strain, and a sense of losing yourself. Relationship challenges can feel painful and isolating. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Whether you are experiencing relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself or your partner, I offer a calm and compassionate space to explore what is happening beneath the surface.

My background includes working with couples through Relate, supporting partners to communicate more openly, understand recurring patterns, and rebuild connection. Alongside this, I am currently undertaking professional training in Compassionate Inquiry, the therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté. This work gently explores the deeper emotional imprints and unconscious patterns that can shape our relationships, stress responses, and sense of self.

I have a long history of supporting people in rape crisis counselling, midwifery and behaviour change services, which has given me a deep respect for the resilience people carry — even when they feel stuck or overwhelmed.

My approach is holistic and trauma-informed. I believe symptoms are not problems to be fixed, but signals to be understood. Together, we create a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to reconnect with yourself and those around you.
